“Cossack Don”. Ethnographic Tour.
The program of the tour provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the history of the Don Cossacks, unique monuments of material and spiritual culture of the Cossacks’ settlements, to see cities and complexes enlisted in the international tourist directory of UNESCO and in the List of historical cities of Russia, having valuable town-planning ensembles, complexes, ancient cultural layera.

Meeting of tourists, transfer to hotel, accommodation. Sightseeing tour across Rostov-on-Don (3 hours). Supper at a national restaurant “Kozachy Kuren”, which is famous for its Don cuisine far from Rostov-on-Don (10 km, 3 hours).

Breakfast. Trip to a village Razdorskaya, visiting an ethnographic museum-reserve of the first Cossacks’ capital on Don. Ethnographic program “Cossack Feast”. Visiting a museum of the Don winemaking history at a farm Pukhlyakovsky, tasting Don wines. |

Breakfast. Bus excursion to Azov city founded in XI century. Survey of a diorama “Capture of a Turkish fortress Azov by the Russian Tsar Peter I”. Dinner at a restaurant “Krepostnoy Val”, tasting of traditional dishes of cuisine of Peter’s I times (42 km, duration of 6 hours).

In the afternoon, a foot walk along the most beautiful avenue of “old Rostov” Pushkinskaya (retro-cafes, antiquarian shops, art galleries) (1.5 hours), a trip on board of a steam-ship along Don (1 hour), visiting the left coast of Don - place of rest of Rostovites where there are various cafes and restaurants, entertaining and health-improving complexes. |

Breakfast. Departure to a village Starocherkasskaya – the capital of the Don Cossacks of XVII - XIX centuries; visiting a historical-and-architectural open-air museum-reserve; a ceremony “Entering Cossacks” with a performance of a Cossacks’ folklore group (30 km, duration of 6 hours). |

Breakfast. Departure to Rostov-on-Don with visiting Novocherkassk – the last capital of Cossacks’ Don Army, visiting the Voskresensky Army Cathedral, the museum of the Don Cossacks’ history, and the Emperor of Russia Alexander’s III Don Cossacks’ military school. On back way, picnicking in Mukhina Balka (kebab, tea with Don herbs split out of the Russian samovar with cream and honey; performance of a Cossacks’ folklore group. A visit to Aksay city – an underground customs house (XVIII century) and a post station (XIX century) (35 km, duration of 8 hours).

Breakfast. Spare time. In the evening, visiting a “Kozachiy Dozor” complex, acquaintance to a gallery of portraits of Don atamans, visiting a stable where various breeds of horses are represented. Supper at a “Kozachiy Dozor” restaurant where the traditional Cossack cuisine is provided: borshch, fried beef a la Cossack, baked fish.
