Tour “Sholokhov’s spring” — the international literary and folklore holiday
It is carried out since 1985 in a village Veshenskaya (364 km from Rostov-on-Don) in the native land of a Don writer, a Nobel prize winner M. A. Sholokhov, on last Saturday and Sunday of May being devoted to the birthday anniversary of the writer, annually.

Meeting of tourists, transfer to hotel, accommodation. Sightseeing tour across Rostov-on-Don (3 hours). Supper at a national restaurant “Kozachy Kuren”, which is famous for its Don cuisine far from Rostov-on-Don (10 km, 3 hours). |

Breakfast. Visit to the Don public library. Acquaintance to works of the writer M. A. Sholokhov (1 hour). Foot walk in the most beautiful foot street of “old Rostov” Pushkinskaya (retro-cafe, antiquarian shops, art galleries) (1.5 hours). River walk by the steam-ship on Don, and fact-finding trip on the left coast of Don, the zone of Rostovites’ rest where numerous cafes and restaurants, entertaining and health improving complexes are located (3 hours). |

Breakfast. Departure to the village Veshenskaya to participate in the International literature and Folklore celebration “Sholokhov’s Spring”. On the way visit to Novocherkassk (30 km, duration of 7 hours) – the former capital of the Don Cossacks; survey of the Triumphal arch, the Temple of the Don Army - the Voznesensky Cathedral, the Ataman’s Palace (4 hours). In the afternoon arrival to the village Veshenskaya, accommodation in hotel. Picnicking at the bank of Don. |

Breakfast. Visiting the museum complex devoted to life and creativity of the writer, fair-sale of souvenir production of national crafts masters. Evening fishing. Tasting the Don fish soup. |

Breakfast. Festival, demonstration performances on water areas of the river Don by masters of water kinds of sports, a performance of professional and amateur folklore collectives. Sports - dramatized holiday in a stadium of the village. In the evening, gala-concert on the quay of Don. Supper. |

Breakfast. Excursion trip to a farm Kruzhilinsky and a village Karginskaya with visiting the memorial places connected to childhood and youth of M. A. Sholokhov. Dinner in a yard of the House - museum of M.A.Sholokhov in a villageKarginskaya. “Seeing off a la Cossacks’” - acquaintance to a national ceremony of visitors departure. Departure to Rostov-on-Don. Arrival late at night, accommodation in hotel. |

Breakfast. Spare time. In the evening, visiting a complex “Kozachiy Dozor” - acquaintance to a gallery of portraits of the Don Atamans, visiting a stable where various breeds of horses are shown. Supper at a restaurant “Kozachiy Dozor” where the traditional Cossack cuisine is presented: borshch, fried meat a la Cossack, baked fish. |
